Yurpeak Dosage: How the Dose Builds Up
Yurpeak is started at a low dose and increased gradually to help your body adjust. Treatment usually begins with 2.5 mg once a week for four weeks. After that, your doctor may increase the dose by 2.5 mg, with at least four weeks between dose increases. The dose can be increased up to 15 mg once a week when needed. Many people may not need the highest dose. Never change your Yurpeak dose without medical advice.

How to Take and Store Yurpeak
Yurpeak is injected under the skin of the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm, once a week, at any time of day, with or without food. Keep to the same day each week and rotate the site rather than using the exact same spot. Use a new needle every time and never share your pen. Each KwikPen holds four weekly doses and is for one person only.
- Wash your hands and check the medicine is clear and colourless to slightly yellow, with no particles.
- Attach a new needle and prepare the pen as the patient instructions show.
- Inject under the skin as instructed.
- Remove the needle, drop it into a puncture-proof sharps container, then cap the pen. Ask your pharmacist about safe disposal if you do not have a container.
Storing Yurpeak
Keep unused pens in the refrigerator at 2 to 8°C. Once you start a KwikPen, you can keep it at room temperature below 30°C or in the fridge, and discard it after 30 days or four weekly doses, whichever comes first. Do not freeze Yurpeak, and do not use a pen that has been frozen.
If You Miss a Dose
If you remember within four days (96 hours), take it as soon as you can, then carry on as usual. If more than four days have passed, skip it and take the next dose on your usual day. Never take two doses within three days of each other. To change your weekly day, keep at least three days between doses.
